Jackery Explorer 1000 Power Station Error Codes & Fixes

The Jackery Explorer 1000 power station is a powerful, compact energy supply unit that can provide you the power to operate appliances during ordinary conditions or energy emergencies. However, some issues may arise that can halt its functioning.

The following are some common problems with the Jackery Explorer 1000 portable power station:

Error – Low Power

Cause:

The battery icon on the display shows low battery power. The LCD screen will flicker when the battery drains below 20%.

Solution:

Charge the battery before using it again.

Error – System Shutdown

Cause:

Power consumption exceeds 1000W, causing the system to shut down.

Solution:

Make sure power consumption is below 1000W, then restart the system by pressing the power button.

Error – Temperature Alarm

Cause:

The temperature of the machine is either too high or too low. The unit temperature has exceeded -10° C or 40° C.

Solution:

Make sure the unit is working within the recommended temperature range.

Error – Power Station Failure

Cause:

The power station battery may need to be reset due to an unknown issue.

Solution:

Reset the battery and restart the unit.

Error – The Fan Does Not Work

Cause:

The fan only works when the AC is turned off, and only when the machine reaches a certain temperature. There could also be a fan blockage due to external debris.

Solution:

Wait until the unit reaches a high enough temperature and the fan will likely start operating. Also, try checking the fan for any blockages.

Error – Battery Drain Warning

Cause:

The battery icon shows the battery has been drained.

Solution:

Recharge the battery. Make sure to not let the battery drain below 15%.

Error – High or Low Temperature Warning

Cause:

The high or low temperature icons appear. This is due to operating the battery in extreme temperatures.

Solution:

Place the machine in the recommended environmental temperature before charging, using, or storing it. The ambient temperature range should be within 0-40° C (32-104° F).

Error – Over-loaded

Cause:

The over-loaded icon appears on the LCD screen due to possible power overload from the battery or recharge mechanism.

Solution:

Hold the display power button for 8 seconds to reset the battery. Try charging the battery to see if it works properly.

Error – AC Charger Input Error

Cause:

The AC charger input cable is not working properly and not charging the unit. The charger indicator light may not be on.

Solution:

Check if the charger cable is fully connected to the machine. Make sure the original charger is being used and not a replica. Make sure the LCD screen shows the charging power level and the power supply indicator is on. Try the car charging cable to make sure the unit is charging/outputting energy reliably.

Error – Solar Charging Error

Cause:

The solar connections may be faulty. The AC charger also may not be the original and therefore cannot be used to test the machine. The solar panels may also be too dirty and need to be cleaned. The sunlight may not be strong enough to charge the panels. The panels may be in a shady environment without enough sunlight.

Solution:

Clean the solar panels using a soft cloth and place them in a sunny (non-shady) location. Use the provided AC charger to make sure the machine can charge properly. Check all solar panel connections to be sure they are properly secured.

Error – Output AC / DC / USB Error

Cause:

The AC / DC / USB outputs may be causing the power station a problem.

Solution:

Press and hold the display power button and USB button at the same time for 8 seconds to reset the battery.

Error – LCD Screen Error

Cause:

The LCD screen may not be functioning properly due to a battery issue.

Solution:

Press and hold the display power button and USB button at the same time for 8 seconds to reset the battery.
