The Jackery Explorer 1500 portable power station can provide the energy to run necessary appliances during normal conditions as well as energy crises. However, some issues can arise while they are in use. The following issues are the most common:
Error – Problems Using the AC charger cable
Cause:
The AC charging cable may not be charging the unit adequately.
Solution:
Make sure the AC charging cable is securely connected to the machine. Check the charger indicator light is on and that the LCD display shows the charging power level. The power station may have a problem charging, so test it using the car charging cable.
Error – Problems Using the DC Car Charging Cable
Cause:
The DC charging cable is not properly charging the machine.
Solution:
Follow the same steps to resolve the AC charging cable issue above. You can test the machine for charging capability by using the car charging cable.
Error – Problem Charging the Unit Using The Jackery Solar Panel
Cause:
The unit does not charge while using the Jackery solar panel.
Solution:
The solar panel connection(s) may not be secure, so they must be checked. Clean the solar panels of dust and dirt by using a soft cloth. The unit may have an unrelated charging issue, so test it using the car charging cable or AC charger. Only use solar panels in bright daytime sunlight and away from shady areas. You can attach and detach the solar panel several times to see if it will start working again.
Error – Problem Charging the Unit Using a Different Brand of Solar Panel
Cause:
The machine does not charge adequately while using an alternative brand of solar panel.
Solution:
Make sure the solar panel connections are secure. Clean the solar panels of dust and debris by using a soft cloth. Test the machine for charging capability by using the supplied AC charger. Only use the solar panel in daytime sunlight and away from shadows. You can detach and reattach the solar panel multiple times to test it. If the machine can charge using the AC charger, there is likely a problem with the brand of solar panel.
Error – AC / DC / USB Output Problem
Cause:
The power station may not be providing power through the AC / DC / USB outlets.
Solution:
The system may need to be restarted. Press and hold the power button on the screen and the USB button simultaneously for a minimum of 13 seconds to reset the battery.
Error – The LCD Screen Does Not Work Properly
Cause:
The LCD screen is not functioning properly possibly due to a system power problem related to the battery.
Solution:
Reset the battery by pressing and holding down the display power button and USB button simultaneously for a minimum of 13 seconds.
