YETI 1000X Power Station Error Codes & Fixes

The Goal Zero Yeti 1000X portable power station is a useful machine that can provide electricity to run your appliances during camping excursions or grid failures. However, these units can suffer from several problems while operating. Here are a few of the most common:

Error – Devices Not Recharging While Connected to the Yeti

Cause:

This could be due to the output ports being turned off, or the battery energy being too low.

Solution:

Check and make sure the output port is turned on. This should appear as a white LED light on the power button lit up. Also, check if the battery is too low. If the charge is at 20% or less, then recharge the Yeti.

Error – Unit Overload

Cause:

The unit becomes too hot due to the appliance drawing more than the maximum allowed energy from the port. This will appear as an appliance that does not power up and a temperature icon appearing on the LCD display. A red light will also appear on the ports button.

Solution:

Disconnect the appliance from the unit and allow it to cool down. Make sure the device you are connecting only draws energy that is within the allowable output of the Yeti. You can find out by checking the appliance and Yeti tech specs in their user manuals.
