YETI 1000 Core Power Station Error Codes & Fixes

The Goal Zero Yeti 1000 Core portable power station is the unit that will provide you with the power to run your devices in remote locations and during emergencies. However, some issues can arise while using it, including:

Error – Appliances do not Recharge From the Yeti

Cause:

The output ports may not be turned, as shown by a red light on the front of the machine. The battery power level may also be low.

Solution:

Press the port button to reset it. This front light should turn white. If the battery level appears as 20% charge or less, then recharge the battery.

Error – Unit Overload

Cause:

The power drawn by connected devices is greater than the maximum allowed for the ports. This will appear as a red button next to the port. The unit may also be hot, as indicated by the temperature icon.

Solution:

If this happens, disconnect the appliances and allow the Yeti to cool down. Also, check the appliances for their energy usage to see if it exceeds the allowable amount for the output port on the machine. Only use devices that do not exceed this amount.

Error – Battery Warning

Cause:

The battery icon warning is lit due to a possible battery issue.

Solution:

The battery may have a serious problem, so contact Yeti customer support at 1-888-794-6250. Do not operate the machine until this is properly resolved.

Error – Temperature Warning

Cause:

The Yeti could be operating in an environment that is too hot, causing the machine to heat up. It could also be due to too much energy drawn through the output ports. Conversely, the Yeti may be too cold.

Solution:

Disconnect any devices from the output ports and allow the unit to cool down. Consider moving the Yeti into a cooler environment indoors or in the shade. Make sure your devices do not exceed the unit’s power draw specification as found in the Yeti user manual. If the Yeti is too cold, move it into a warmer location and allow it to warm up.

These solutions should provide adequate fixes for these problems. If any issues remain, contact the Yeti Product Support Center at 1-888-794-6250 or by email at support@goalzero.com.
